Lessons from Olympians

I hope that I watched the Olympics in recent days. Otherwise, it's worth the time to see, Doing the best athletes in the world. Each event is full of great lessons about personal leadership and a vision of what people recognize that they are at the top of their game can. Here are ten lessons that jumped on me.

DESIRE: No one will ever reach the Olympic competition without having a strong desire to be there. Desire is the fuel that drives people toplay the best, a strong requirement for participation in these games. And you? Look into every aspect of your spiritual life, family, professional, social, growth, recovery and ask yourself these questions about each area: What is your greatest wish I have in this area of ??my life? I'm working on the realization of this desire, or am I stuck in neutral?

Determination: Although a bit "different than lust, as is, they are not willing to stop at your fingertipsSuccess. It is an Olympic, not about the destination? The answer is clearly "no" provision allows athletes to practice many hours working on their imperfections and their power boost. And you? How they are determined to get rid of the problems, stress and creates discomfort in your life? The weaknesses in your professional responsibilities? In some people, the failure is not an option.

DISCIPLINE: Athletes who reach the top of their gameto regulate themselves when they would much rather be doing something else. Michael Phelps, perhaps the greatest Olympian of all time, has an incredibly disciplined and regimental routine that made him a champion. He returned to the immediate pleasures of his young age, often devote himself to his dream of power in Baden realize. And "the discipline that makes him all-time gold medal winner in Olympic history. And you? You discipline yourself well enough to keep theDreams alive? Understand that a temporary use of discipline lead to a successful long-term results?

FAITH: Winners believe in themselves. They distinguish themselves driven by its vision of victory. They believe in their potential to achieve and are willing to sacrifice and discipline to achieve their vision. Look at the eyes of competitors. They are very revealing. And you? Believe in your abilities to the best in your choiceOccupation? Do you think you are a winner or let the weight of negativity will be held back? When someone looks into your eyes, you see the eyes of a champion who believes in himself or a person full of doubts about their abilities?

COMMITMENT: To be a champion requires a constant effort towards a goal or outcome. You should be able to develop away from distractions and stay on the path to a successful conclusion to reach. There is no doubt the OlympicParticipants will understand the word commitment. And you? What have you done and have commitments to remain with the program until they have been successful? The commitment must be made at this time to bring more success into your life?

Player: just the basketball, volleyball, gymnastics and swimming teams race was a lesson to support the team members. Michael Phelps was more excited watching his team members succeed then it was when he broke the world record. TheTurner was anxious and support their team members do not care if their performance has some shortcomings. Frustrations were obvious, but the support never wavered. They were a team. And you? They are the members of your team? You are an instigator, when team members to achieve the goal? Are you happy happens to a member of the team, about the level of success? Are you a team player?

Altruism: This is another aspect of teamwork. Team members are not put her bigpersonal success to the team's success. Basketball players share a ride and another player to score. They put the team ahead. And with each player and a multi-millionaire stars, in itself, it is gratifying sense of pride and a willingness to put team ahead of their successful performance. It's about the gold medal for the team. And you? You can share your success with others that you deserve a loanall glory and credit? Which areas of your life where you can display more altruism?

FOCUS: The ability to concentrate is one of the three components that comprise any successful company. And compete in the Olympics is out of focus? You can feel the concentration, before going to their events. They are ready because they have learned to focus their energies and thoughts on every aspect of their athletic tasks. And you? SixFocused laser beam on your career goals, or have your power, the great achievement that is impossible to distribute? Where more attention would bring a great reward for you?

VISION: Champions see winners from their event. You have the "feel" a winner trained every day practicing. It is apparent, the precise movements that give them the slightest edge over their competitors. And you? You have a vision for your Life? You can "feel" in the possession of the kind of success you want?

The love of country: This is for me one of the most important aspects of the Olympic Games, are proud of their nation. We hear it with all countries. If a winner played their national anthem in her honor, to hear one of the most memorable experiences ever. And if you're an American, to raise the hairs on your arm if you hear the Star Spangled Banner played in honor of a> Olympic champion. And you? To get a feeling of pride for the United States, if someone is "in touch" our country? What do you do to bring honor and pride for America?

Closing Thoughts

If the Olympics are over, the world will bring the winner a state of "hero". In America, we see too many commercials with the samples. These people have worked, sacrificed and gone through to reach many painful experiences at the top of their respective sports. But things in perspective, all the Olympic Games champion. Unfortunately, this position is reserved for the few. However, I hope you see that all those who made ??the Olympic competition is a winner. They had to beat many competitors to enter this elite group of athletes. While not all come home with a medal, everyone is a winner in China. And that's what makes it great sporting competition.
