Casey Dickerson (Orange County Jail, Orange County Jail / Sep 14, 2012)

A Central Florida man accused of participating in the gang rape of a 15-year-old girl on a cruise ship last month was indicted by a federal grand jury this week.

Casey Dickerson, 31, was indicted on two sex charges Wednesday, records show. He has been jailed in Orange County since his Aug. 20 arrest.

Dickerson is accused of having forcible sex with a girl in a cabin on the Carnival Sensation.

Several teenage boys admitted to also having sex with the girl in the cabin, but have not been charged in the indictment. Prosecutors must seek permission from the Attorney General in order to file charges against juveniles in federal court.

Court records said Dickerson and his wife were on the cruise that left from Port Canaveral on Aug. 16. The couple was given a second cabin after complaining about a noise issue with their first room, but kept both cabins.

The victim told the FBI she and a friend went to Dickerson's cabin with him and four other boys. There, the girl said, Dickerson and the boys held her down and took turns having sex with her, records said.

When questioned by agents, Dickerson said he was drunk and didn't know when anything got "sexual," records show. Dickerson denied having sex with the girl.
